1. Who we are

Ohm Lab Ltd ("we", "us", "our") is the data controller for information collected through the Ohm Lab Store. Company no. 16699752, registered in England and Wales. Contact: info@ohmlab.co.uk.

2. What data we collect

When you place an order we collect:

  • Name and email address
  • Shipping address
  • Payment information (processed securely by our payment provider; we do not store card details)
  • Order history and correspondence

We may also collect anonymised usage data (pages visited, device type) to improve the store.

3. How we use your data

We use your data to:

  • Process and fulfil your order
  • Communicate with you about your order, including shipping updates and any pre-shipping requirements (such as export control statements)
  • Comply with our legal obligations

We will not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3a. Thermal export compliance certifications

If your order includes the Neuro Vision Thermal, we collect a signed End Use, End User and Export Compliance Certification from you before we can ship the product, in line with the manufacturer's export guidance and applicable UK and US export control and sanctions law. The embedded thermal module is US-origin and classified under US EAR ECCN 6A993.a; the product is not listed on the UK Strategic Export Control Lists.

This certification includes your name, organisation (if applicable), delivery address, and a declaration of intended end use. This information:

  • Is collected solely for the purposes of export compliance and order fulfilment
  • Is retained for at least five years, or longer where required, in line with applicable export control record-keeping requirements
  • May be disclosed to government authorities, customs bodies, or professional advisers where required for compliance or audit purposes
  • Will not be used for any other purpose or shared with any unrelated third party

If you decline to provide a signed certification, we will cancel your order and issue a full refund.

4. Legal basis for processing

We process your data on the basis of contract performance (to fulfil your order) and legitimate interests (to operate and improve the store). Where required by law, we will seek your consent.

5. Data retention

We retain order data for 7 years in line with UK tax and accounting requirements. You may request deletion of data we are not legally required to retain by contacting us.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request erasure of data (where no legal obligation to retain exists)
  • Object to processing
  • Lodge a complaint with the ICO (ico.org.uk)
